  • Miranda has cancelled this weekend, so Jennifer and Brian’s foursome will be with Justin and Lilian. This throws a spanner in the works for Jennifer who continues to worry about gossip and rumours. As the evening gets underway, Lynda Snell makes an appearance. She and Robert are celebrating their five star B&B review. This is Jennifer’s worst nightmare and when Lynda later comes over to join them after the meal, she explains to Lynda that Lilian has taken Miranda’s place at short notice. Under Lynda’s watchful gaze, Lilian and Justin seize the moment, determined to enjoy themselves on the dance floor. Lynda comments to a horrified Jennifer about their obvious chemistry.
  • Helen makes no sense of why Rob told Henry about his parentage, yet to Pat, it is entirely explicable, given Rob’s character and the devious individual he has shown himself to be. Helen worries for Henry and wonders if he will feel he is not good enough. Pat suggests that they reinforce to Henry that Rob has not always been a part of his life, and shift his focus to the solid family members who have been and will continue to be reliable and loving. Helen is not so sure this will help, however, when Henry later tells her he had another bad dream about Daddy leaving him behind, Helen reminds him of those around him who love him and have been in his life from the beginning, unlike Daddy.
  • Pat later suggests some children’s counselling for Henry to give him an opportunity to speak to someone outside the family and Helen will keep an open mind.
