  • Ruth and Tom are snooping at who is looking round Greenacres – the Old Police House. They will be one of Tom’s neighbours after all. Turn out it was Jim. He was impressed. He has decided he will make an offer. Pip wasn’t on the school bus, she decided to stay at college and hang out with some friends which was positive.
  • Fallon is wondering why she hasn’t seen much of Annette. She doesn’t seem to be replying to messages and maybe seems a bit down. Helen agrees she has been quieter than usual but probably just needs her own place.
  • Later, discussing things with Kenton, Jim says he might be interested. It’s not of much architectural merit but he can’t stay at Honeysuckle Cottage much longer. They are out on the town again – this time to something more to Jim’s taste. Seems a little bit empty though. Jim tries to make the best of it but after 2 hours they are still the only customers. Jim say he recognises Kenton’s plan to bore him with the worst jazz bar in Borchester – and it turns out even that bar is planning for a refurbishment to attract a younger clientele. He gives in. Kenton can have his tapas bar and 5.1 surround sound. And Kenton promises they can have themed nights and the best cocktails in town.
  • Jazzer is back going to the Bull. He and Fallon are getting on fine. Fallon has said she wants to spend more time with him though Tom is a bit sceptical about whether things are really moving on. Maybe they don’t even know themselves. Fallon agrees to go with him to a gig at the weekend anyway.
