  • Alice is back off to university and Kate is still convinced she and Chris have no hope – she’ll only have to change her name back. Jennifer admits she is pleased Kate agrees with her. Never mind, she’ll realise her mistake soon enough. Meantime, she is already starting to cause trouble and plans on calling Borchester Green to say Phoebe won’t be coming into school. She is Phoebe’s mother and she is allowed to spend time with her daughter. Jennifer tries to remonstrate with her but to no avail. She takes her out for the day, buys her ridiculous clothes, wants her to stay for longer at Home Farm and then starts trying to disrupt Ruairi’s routine to boot. Even Jennifer makes her frustration clear to Brian.
  • The peregrines at St Stephens are still a major cause of concern to the village and Patrick has had enough complaints. Still he and Kirsty are going owl watching at the hide. Helen has had her 20 week scan and she is full of it but she doesn’t want to know what sex it is.
  • Matt meets Brian for lunch and agrees he is prepared to compromise over the ransom strip. A separate company might work. He still expects BL to buy the strip, despite Amside getting 20% of the new company. Brian agrees to discuss it with the Board.
  • Of course, when Kirsty and Patrick get to the hide they find the teenagers drinking in the hide. Kirsty recognises Jamie. Patrick is all for ringing the police but Kirsty thinks he is just a really unhappy kid. She will talk to Kathy.
