  • Pat and Tony are still trying to persuade Helen not to go to the police. She can’t believe they are encouraging her to lie but they both think it’s going to make everything worse. Helen doesn’t see how it could get any worse. Tom thinks it will just be a fine and a point on his licence if they stick with his story but could be prison for Perverting the Course of Justice if they were found guilty. That’s what happened to Susan.
  • Roy and Hayley are already having problems with the sex becoming automatic as they think about getting pregnant. Hayley is convinced it means IVF. And she’s thinking again about egg sharing. Roy tries to convince her she is being to negative. Hayley tries to talk about it but it’s just going round in circles. Roy still says there is a long way to go yet. One thing at a time.
  • Late Pat and Tony agree they aren’t happy about the deception but they hope they’ve convinced her now they have found out about the possibility of prison. They’ll just have to keep an eye on her. Meantime Pat really doesn’t feel like celebrating her birthday this year. Helen is a mess. Even if Tom gets away with a fine or a driving course it won’t all be over. Pat blames herself for Helen’s depression. It must be hereditary but Tony won’t have any of that. But she may well still be depressed. She honestly doesn’t know what she is going to do with her.
