Radio Times: Josh shares his ideas, and Lilian has a shock.

  • It’s time for Josh to sign on the dotted line: Neil has three copies of a partnership agreement ready for Josh. He is bursting with egg marketing ideas but Neil has to defer hearing them: he has pigs to attend to. Josh offers to help and thereby wins time to lay out some of his ideas. He is keen to try lots of Farmers’ Markets, where according to Adam, people are prepared to pay a premium; Neil is able to reign him back to trying a couple of markets.
  • What on earth is Paul playing at? He has turned up in Ambridge unannounced to talk to Lilian. Matt is away playing golf but anyone might have seen Paul. Lilian gets into his car and bids him drive, though she is soon regretting the decision because he is driving like a maniac. She cannot understand why he is so exercised about Celia’s wedding today – unless he still loves her. Getting increasingly nasty, Paul declares that it is Lilian he loves; when will she stop pussy-footing around and choose to be with him? Is she too stupid to see that Matt views their relationship as a business arrangement, plus sex. That’s enough for Lilian – virtually accused of being a prostitute, she gets out of the car and Paul drives off.
  • Nic has enjoyed her first visit to church. She was in Clarrie’s company, though before and after the service she spoke to Peggy, to whom she now gives a lift to the Dower House. Curiously, Lilian is not there but soon turns up in a taxi and has to think on her feet; Peggy is appalled that she had left the house unlocked – very risky in such a rough area as Ambridge!
