Characters: , , , , ,
  • Shula and Alistair are amazed that Kenton has agreed to drive the supporters’ mini bus for the first match. They’ve raised over £500 so it should help. Tension is rising about who should be playing and where and how they should handle the toss.
  • Brian is off to meet Nigel for lunch. Siobhán is no better and even her mother is sounding down. Jennifer manages to send her best wishes. At his lunch with Nigel he says he hopes Jennifer is getting there. He knows he is asking a lot of Jennifer. Nigel pushes him on how it would be if he has to decide between Jennifer and Ruairidh. Surely his home and family are just as important. Brian just thinks it’s out of his hands. He can’t give up his son so it’s up to Jennifer to decide.
  • Peggy is planning to take Jack to the first cricket match as well. But when they are chatting about it, it all comes out. Peggy thinks it is outrageous that Brian is even suggesting it. It’s perfectly natural not to have him. But now Jennifer is just tired and confused. But Peggy is adamant that it is Brian who has to face the consequences of what he has done – not Jennifer.
