Pip’s performance on the organ goes down well, especially with Jill.

Radio Times: Jill is puzzled by the crowd at St Stephen’s and Amy offers to lend a hand.

  • Blimey! Even Kenton is going to church today, if Elizabeth can get him moving, though Nigel will remain on duty at the Lower Loxley Antiques Fair.
  • Amy is back home and has job interviews coming up; her dad wonders whether, if she gets a job in Felpersham, she will live at home – she thinks maybe not. Pat lets slip that Helen is finding pregnancy not as straightforward as she expected.
  • Jill had been wondering why so many Archers have turned up at today’s service; all becomes clear when Pip heads for the organ to play one of Phil’s favourite hymns “Waiting for a Wonder”. Jill was touched and later congratulated Pip both on her playing and on keeping it a secret – so nearly given away.
  • Amy finds Pat at John’s grave and, hearing about Helen’s anxieties, offers to have a chat with her and maybe reassure her a bit.
  • Back at Lower Loxley the Antiques Fair is going well, though Nigel is getting anxious about not learning his lines for the panto. Lynda’s propaganda would have Dick Whittington take precedence over everything else but her cast won’t have that. Nevertheless, Jill assures Nigel that he will make a great Dame – it’s inspired casting.
