Robert messes up his carpentry. Kenton messes up his dinner date.

Radio Times: Kenton misses the point of a dinner a deux.

  • Time is running out and Kenton still hasn’t made contact with Wayne about being a judge. Finally Wayne answers and would love to do it – but he is not free on 1st April. He suggests Lenny Scargill and offers to give him a ring.
  • After his night in the tent, Robert is under the weather and would like the day off; Jim is going out so he will be able to get on in peace.
  • Kenton is spending the day with Jim looking at furniture for the bar; Kathy would like to come too but Kenton fears it would sideline Jim. But he will take Kathy for dinner later.
  • When Helen delivers salad stuff to Grey Gables, she is able to bring Ian up to date: she has an appointment tomorrow for the results of tests. Ian tells her about Kate passing the news to Adam and Helen is furious, ready to go straight round to Home Farm. Ian calms her with the assurance that Adam really laid it on the line and she was thoroughly chastened.
  • Kathy calls on Lynda to discuss how to organise the volunteers for the shop. Robert comes back early rather dispirited: Eddie had accused him of doing him out of the shelving job and then he made a mistake and cut a length of timber too short. Enough for today.
  • Kathy is all dressed up and ready to go out for dinner with Kenton – and it turns out, also with Jim – and with Frank, the chef. Great!
