  • Clarrie has picked up Susan’s prized bowl from the church, Jean Harvey had already wrapped it, but Susan finds it’s not hers but some piece of tat! Clarrie learns Eddie picked up a few scraps at the church for a fiver to drop off at Borchester’s Boot Fair, including the bowl. She never catches up with it. Jazzer left chum Daz in charge when it was sold, for just £3, and Daz has left so they know nothing about the buyer. Susan’s distraught. It was a present from Neil and was going to be passed onto Emma.
  • Brenda’s loudly berating her mad father as Roy drags her into next door. What is he thinking of, getting engaged? Roy keeps trying to quieten her down, worried about the thin walls but she doesn’t care. Roy agrees it was a shock but once Dad’s set his mind on something… They might have to accept having a stepmother.
  • Adam cooks Lilian scrambled eggs but she hardly eats it. She hasn’t slept, worrying about Matt. She’s rung A&E departments, including out of the county. Adam assures her that if anything had happened to him the police would have called. He suggests she goes to Jennifer’s for lunch but she’s staying put in case Matt or the police turn up.
