  • Ruth and David are doing well with the cows just now. But they aren’t getting so much help from Bert, now he has so much to learn about Lower Loxley. But then Ruth gets a text from the dairy – their cell count has gone up. It is about 500 so they’ll need to treat them as soon as possible. Ruth wonders about getting Eddie in for extra shifts but David is sure they can manage – Ruth just needs to tell him what to do.
  • Brian hands over Debbie’s new proposal for the contractors. He agrees Adam can check them out but he’s not very interested right now. He’s more interested in Siobhán and what motives Niamh might have in turning up to visit now.
  • Nigel and Elizabeth are back from their romantic weekend. Elizabeth might get to like being 40…. In the meantime, Nigel is interested in insulating his roofs with lambswool – maybe even from Brookfield.
  • Adam talks to Elizabeth about Siobhán and why Niamh is visiting. He knows that Jennifer is hoping that Niamh will take Ruairidh, but Elizabeth doesn’t hold out any hopes. Elizabeth begins to suggest that maybe they should take Ruairidh, but Nigel isn’t convinced. And he’s more interested in his copies of his family trees. And that shows that some of Nigel’s relations such as Great Uncle Rupert have strange gaps in their history.
