  • Usha arrives early for a meal with David and Ruth, to find Ruth very upset and David out on the farm. Ruth tells her about Elizabeth’s latest action and its effect on David. It seems that her rift with him is permanent.
  • Kenton welcomes the Home Farm pickers to Jaxx, but the party is gatecrashed by Jazzer and Harry who just happen to fancy a drink in the same venue. Jazzer goes for his habitual charmless approach, and Adam steps in to rescue Zofia from his unwanted advances.
  • Ruth dissolves in tears, and tells Usha she intends to go and have things out with Elizabeth. Usha advises caution; maybe a letter would be a better approach – but Ruth has made her mind up. Usha warns her that in Elizabeth’s current unstable frame of mind, Ruth will need to exercise considerable calm and control.
  • Zofia was convinced that Jazzer and Harry were a gay couple, but is enlightened by Adam. With Jazzer safely out of the way, Zofia suggests to Harry that they go and get something to eat. Harry can’t believe his luck.
