  • Worried about his mum, William calls to find her in the midst of a clearout, looking for stuff to sell in the car boot sales. William offers practical help in two ways. He has Brian’s permission to offer casual work to Eddie and he also has some cash to be going on with. They have done a lot for him over the years, so it’s payback time.
  • Bridge Farm has made the front page of The Echo again. The article says that the farm’s sales have died, and the Underwoods manager has made disparaging remarks. Pat and Tony are furious about what this ‘jumped up non-entity’ has said.
  • Softly, softly catchee monkey. In this case the monkey is Josh and it’s Will who has caught him red-handed fishing for crayfish. Will is unmoved by Josh’s protestation that he is helping the environment, by catching only American crayfish (Kirsty told him that) but he does accept that Josh didn’t know he needed the landowner’s permission or that he needed a licence. So Will overlooks it – this time.
